EDO memory, or Extended Data Out, is memory that was launched around the time of early Intel Pentium chips. EDO memory has a 72 pin connector to the motherboard and must be installed in equal sized pairs of memory modules, ie you must install two 16 Mb EDO memory chips, for example, instead of a single 32 Mb EDO memory module.

EDO memory is no longer as widely available as it used to be so if you require to upgrade a computer using EDO memory, do it now before prices rise. Increasing the amount of memory in your computer can dramatically improve your performance and reliability at very little cost.

We recommend Crucial UK as the best supplier of additional EDO memory in the UK for any make and model of computer. Crucial memory prices are consistently lower than other UK suppliers. Memory prices change on a daily basis but as an example, earlier this month Jungle were offering 128 MB of EDO memory for £82.24 including VAT and postage. Crucial’s price for the same specification 128 MB of memory is only £41.39 inclusive of VAT and postage. A massive saving to you of £128.59, for memory that is guaranteed to work, or your money back !
